Ahafo Ano South East District is located in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, specifically in the northwestern part
It shares boundaries with several districts: Offinso North District to the north, Ahafo Ano South West District to the south, Atwima Nwabiagya North District to the east, and Tano South Municipal in the Ahafo Region to the west
The district covers approximately 520-545.16 km², representing about 2.1-2.2% of the Ashanti Region's total land area
Its capital is Adugyama, situated about 42 km from Kumasi

Climate

Ahafo Ano South East District has a tropical climate, specifically a wet semi-equatorial type.
